Description
The wild cardoon is a sturdy herbaceous plant growing 32 to 48 in tall, with deeply lobeds, heavily spined green to grey-green fuzzy leaves up to 20 in long The flowers are produced in a large, globe like shape but spined up to 2 inches in diameter.
